Wedding Nightmares

Has anyone else had reccuring wedding related nightmares throughout the planning process? I just had my fourth wedding nightmare last night and it's driving me crazy!

The first one I had - we forgot to book anything other than the reception hall. So after the ceremony we arrived with no music and no flowers, etc.

The second - we forgot to buy wedding bands so we were standing at the alter and when the preist realized we had no wedding bands he told everyone in the church "They forgot to buy wedding bands...we can just skip over that part".

The third - I slept through our wedding reception and no one work me up.

Last night - I dreamed my mom was drunk and belligerent and I had to take her home and missed most of my reception. (Note: my Mom would NEVER be out of line at my wedding, this one actually made me laugh).

Is this happening to anyone else?! I feel like such a hot mess! hahaha.

My nightmares always go as if betwen now and the wedding I just didn't do or plan anything, so all of the things I don't already have taken care of just don't get done. So it's the morning of the wedding and my dress is unaltered, my BMs are out trying to find a matching dress to wear and I can't get ahold of them, I'm trying to find our ceremony songs online and burn them onto a CD, none of the guests know where to sit, etc.

Yarg, that sucks.  I've had a few where the wedding is happening/about to happen and my teeth are breaking off and falling out, but that's a fairly typically dream for me anyway, just with the wedding theme tacked on to it.  I've been told that it symbolizes worry over a loss of control.  And considering what a control freak I am...sounds about right.  :)

FI has had a few where the ceremony is going on and we're being attacked by zombies or ninjas and he has to carry me out and say the vows while we're escaping.  But, again, that's pretty much his regular dreams with "wedding" tacked on top.

But (sorta WR) last weekend, he dreamed that we were sleeping in bed together (which we actually were), and that I just rolled over, shoved him, said "Hey, I'm pregnant" and then rolled back over and went back to sleep.  He woke up and wasn't sure whether it was real or not.  So apparently he leaned over and asked me "Did you just tell me you're pregnant?"  To which I responded (not that I remember this AT ALL) "Yeah.  I'm totally pregnant.  You're welcome."  It's nice to know that I'm still capable of extreme sarcasm even in my sleep.  Smile

yes, I've had several! They are super frustrating, just another one of the little "side effects" of planning a wedding!

We are having a destination wedding and I had a dream that we were running late to the airport and when we got there we realized we didn't bring anything with us... no passport, no ID, not even a suitcase!  I woke up sweating!!!

I have them ALL the time.  Usually it has something to do with forgetting some detail...or multiple details.

Oh my!! These are hilarious! I'm glad I'm not alone. Most of my bad dreams (WR or not) all have to do with loss of control. I'm a TOTAL control freak.

MatUofM - The pregnancy story made me laugh out loud.

PaulandChelsea - The edible arrangements thing is nothing short of hilarious - I love it!

For me, wedding planning seems to go in cycles (not planning for a while then tons of planning) and whenever I'm in a high-planning phase I have crazy wedding dreams. My most recent one was that FI and I weren't allowed to sit at the front of the church because I didn't have assigned seating at the ceremony. I distinctly remember the church coordinator looking down at us and saying "It appears you did not plan correctly...you'll have to sit here" and pointed to a cramped pew in the middle of the church.
