Hotels?

Has anyone blocked rooms at hotels in Portland/South Portland?
This is one of the next things on my to-do list.
Our reception is at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland and the date is October 2.

We will probably need between 40-50 rooms total and are thinking of splitting it up at two hotels at different price points.

Looking for nice rooms, decent prices, maybe courtesy shuttle for guests... any suggestions? Thanks!

Holiday Inn by the bay is great.  I'm not sure what their price would be at that time of year.  They do offer free shuttle service for guests.

I think the Clarion offers shuttle services but they're hotel rooms can be a bit pricey.  And there are like 8 million hotels in Portland IDK about shuttles but I'd call around.  There's also Holiday Inn West which probably has similar services as by the bay but the rooms are probably cheaper.

We're staying at the Clarion this weekend for my bachelorette party, and I thnk the rooms were $109. Not sure what they'd be in October, but it's the shoulder season so I would think not too expensive. I'll let you know how our stay is this weekend and if I'd recommend it :)

The Eastland Park is another good one to considder and will probably have pretty good rates in October:)

That's exciting about the room price at the clarion.  My friends getting married in August and her prices (with the discount) were like $159.00, so I'm nervous about what they'll be in September.  Also for the Italian Heritage you could do the Hilton Garden or Marriott by the air port in South Portland. I'm sure they have shuttles.

I second the Eastland.  They didn't give me a great rate in July because, well, it's July, but we have stayed there off season for much cheaper.  Plus, I would recommend checking the AAA price on those places- I know the Eastland give a great discount.
