Cake Tasting with Donna

We had our cake tasting today with Donna in Haddam, CT and it was wonderful!  We decided on the spice cake with coconut cream filling.  It was soooooo good!  FI and I were in 100% agreement so I am thrilled :)  I thought for sure we were going to get chocolate cake, but the spice cake was just so tasty!  Here is a pic of our cake, except the detailing will be black and the flowers will be red with black centers!!

    Yay! Congrats!! Our venue has their tasting tomorrow, which includes Donna's cakes so I am beyond excited to go!! :)

    Congrats on the check! Our cake comes with the venue, and Donna is one of the bakers that we can choose (we get to choose from 3)...so I was thinking of making an appt to check her out. When you met with her, did she have pictures of cakes that she could show you? I have no idea what I want my cake to look like, so I'm hoping the baker can show me some pics!
