Choosing between 2 limos companies

Hi Ladies,
  We're having trouble choosing between two different limo companies. We were quoted at silver star for a rolls royce phantom and a party bus, and were quoted at eclipse for a rolls royce and a stretch suv (hummer or excursion) for about half of that. They are also including champagne, wine, etc. and the red carpet. Who is everyone else using, or if you are already married which companies have you dealt with? It's about 40 mins from the church to the venue.

Also has anyone else used a vintage car? its an august wedding and I'm concerned about the air conditioning.

    We used silver star (worked with Mario Jr) and I was extremely happy.  They were really great to work with and was the best priced.
    The vintage is great but with no air and a 40 min drive it could be really uncomfortable.

    We used Settembre and our Rolls Royce had air conditioning!  (For a 40 minute drive, you are going to want it!)

    Regarding the two companies that you asked about - Silver Star gets good reviews on here, Eclipse - not so much.

    we used silverstar and had a great experience. we didnt have a vintage car but had one limo for our entire bridal party. they included champaigne and a red carpet.

    we used silverstar, they were great. have heard some very negative things about eclipse.

    My sister used silverstar for her July 2008 wedding and we had Mario Jr, he was great. He helped all the girls out of the limo and then helped my sister into the church, carried her train so it wouldnt get dirty, fixed my dad's tie, and then waited until she walked down the aisle fluffing her dress for her. I was amazed at just that!

    We also used Silverstar and were very happy with them - and they do include champagne.

    I don't remember the name of our driver, but he was so sweet - the priest told him he couldn't wait in the back to fix my dress before I walked down the aisle, but he looked at me and said: "I don't care what he says, I always fix the bride's train to make it perfect and I'm fixing yours too" - and he did!

    I did not have a good experience with Eclipse last year. I would go with another company.

    I used Silver Star.  We only had one limo (no vintage), and they were great.  We also worked with Mario Jr.

    i didnt use any of those companies for my july wedding but we used a 1961 princess rolls royce and it was great. we werent even in it for long to realize how hot it was. i would say goo with the car if you love it! HTH

    Thank you all so so much, I just showed my fiance and we are both in agreement, we are going to go back to Silver Star and see what we can work out. Thanks again for all your help; I don't know what I would do without these boards Smile
