Remind me..

Is registry info ok to put on the wedding info website?

Re: Remind me..

  • That's what I plan on doing!

  • Yes, it is ok. But I know it was someone one these boards told me not to have direct links on the website to the registry. Once the people know where you are registered, they can go the site or store themselves and look you guys up.
  • Yeah, sorry for posting this. I searched first, and it came up as "no results found"... I did it again and found what I was looking for. Silly Knot.
  • The search function on TK is a piece of crap. :)

You're not supposed to link your registries on your website? I didn't know this! Is there any reason?

I guess I didn't think about that, I guess I should correct that issue on my website! I just saw it as an easier way for them to get to the registry, but I guess it could be seen as you expceting a gift.. Good to know.

  • I have another question that is semi-related. We have some traditional registries that are linked to our website. But we are also inheriting 8 place settings of a china pattern that has been discontinued but is availale on replacements.com. Is it ok for me to but something on our website saying "this is our china pattern, we already have 8 place settings but would like serving pieces. They are available at X website."

Otherwise though, yes. I think registry info is a big part of having a wedding website.

Personally I wouldn't. I would just not register for china and buy the additions on my own.
