Hey yall.. You know I'm a bride on a budget so I'm always looking for deals.. I was on craigslist and ran accross a ad for a free engagement session. I talked to the guy and he states he's just trying to build his portfolio and the only thing I will need to do is sign a release giving him permission to post our pics on his site. Here's his website, Let me know what yall think of his pics. He even stated he's willing to do my wedding as well.. Sounds to good to be true but I will have a contract stating all of this.

    on another note, my friend did that for her wedding. She got wedding pics for free. You can't beat free.

    Make sure that you ask him for your engagement photos how many outfits you all could have and locations as well. Ask him what he plans on doing with your engagment photos as far as releasing them to you with copryright release, also what would his charge be if printed an enlargement for you to have at the ceremony. Since he is willing to do your wedding for free what about your bridal portraits?? Good luck this sounds like a great idea!

    He said he will give me a copyright release of my engagements pics and in return I sign a form giving him permission to post pics on his website. The session will be an hr and we can change clothes if we choose. We wont be able to change locations but the park were going to is large so we can switch things up. I will ask about an enlargement. The bridal portraits are not included but at this point im like Ill take what I can get. If I wanted to incluse a bridal session, he customized a package that includes a photo album with all our prints, copyright release of pics, 2 large pics and my pics uploaded online for fam to see and 6 hrs of coverage would be 495. So basically I get engagements and coverage free but all the extras is 495. Still seem ok. I will see once we take engagements to see how we like.
