Jack & Jill did what?!

So any advice on a Jack & Jill party? I haven't mentioned this idea yet, but i think it would be a good fit for us.. (I have only recently heard the term, so any advice is helpful)

What Retread said.  Clarification is needed...

I meant it as in a shower for both the Fi and I. I agree a fundraiser is tacky.

Another fun idea for a jack and jill type shower is an around the clock shower.  Both men and women are invited and on each invitation there is a time written... and the gift should correspond with the time of day on the invitation.  For example, if someone got 8am, they could get you a coffee pot, toaster, griddle.  If you get 10pm, you could get them the tent they registered for as a "redneck bedroom suite" or sheets... there are so many ideas.  I got 12am at my best friend's around the clock shower, and I got her a set of martini glasses, a bottle of vodka, and a martini recipe book with a note saying I hope your parties last well past the stroke of midnight.  Then a good hostess gift for the couple throwing the shower would be a nice, decorative clock.  Just throwing this idea out there...

My fiance's Portuguese, and apparently this is what they always do.  It was basically like a mini wedding.  There was so much food that we ended up taking full trays home with us, so in addition to gifts, we don't have to cook for the rest of the week.  ;)  Everyone seemed to have a great time!

I am throwing a Frog Prince shower for my BFF and I found the most wonderful products at a site called The Rosemary Company.  They have the cutest frog prince centerpiece that also doubles as a stand for the bridal shower favors.  I love the fact that they also show some recipes and have frog prince games.  I'm doing up my own invitations, but they have frog prince invitations and thank you cards too.  I am soo glad I found this site

I think it's a great theme and I'm debating making it coed because it would be a great coed, or Jack and Jill  theme.

There's also another bridal shower site that has a "Honey Do" theme which is a really cute coed theme too
