I'm not sure if this is how everyone does it, but where I'm from the exit from the church is more of a "grand exit" than the exit after the reception - granted I'm not sure I've actually ever stayed the full time at a reception (most of them have gone well into the night.) For the church exit it seems that handing out bubbles is the most common thing to do. I'm not sure I'm sold on it because my parents alone have a stash of at least 10 half-full bottles of bubbles they've gotten at weddings over the past couple years (my mom keeps EVERYTHING, lol). I kind of feel like it is a waste. On the other hand, it's also the easiest because rice and birdseed are not allowed at our church. I've seen that some people do ribbon wands these days but I'm not really into that, again, kind of seems like a waste (what do you do with them after?)
After that book of an explanation, are you doing bubbles or rice or wands or something else? Any ideas out side of the box? I'm stuck.

65 Are ready to party!
4 Are party poopers!
123 Have me stalking the mailbox.
we have a bubble machine that will be hiding behind one of the posts of the gazebo
so after the officiant announces us man and wife my sons job is to bend down to hit the machine (before the kiss the bride bit)
Bubbles will be handed out as before the ceremony well just because my FMIL has a bunch forgotten from the last family wedding LOL.... like 60+ so that is fine...

<div>Every church wedding I've been to has the "grand exit" at the church. Our church allows birdseed but I don't want to be picking birdseed out of every nook and cranny of "my girls" and my dress and hair. We'll be doing bubbles. Oriental Trading Company has about the best prices on little bottles of bubbles I've found far. I always either give them to a kid when the exit/send off is over or pitch the bottle at some point. </div>
