Oh ricks that sucks. Was your manager at the Sunday meeting? If so, that sucks she didn't call you. If not, does she understand why you aren't at work? I don't know if there is anything you can do but just bide your time until you quit.

I'd be pissed too. At this point, I'd clarify each Thursday or Friday afternoon what your schedule is the next week just to be sure they are being accountable for telling you when you need to be there.

I think Hike has the right idea.

I hate when managers cant bother to tell you when you are supposed to work, or in your case tell you your ok but dont follow through. I never changed the schedule without calling my employees first to see if they CAN work, why assume?

Our schedule goes from tues-mon and my boss sends it out on Saturdays. So 2 days notice. I fucking hate it and he wont change the policy.

My son had to deal with something similar years ago and he would have to call the day the schedule was supposed to be done to get his schedule. Half the time it wasnt ready. Yeah I didnt care that he quit that job.

That is really unfair of them. I would talk to my boss and explain the situation. You shouldnt be blamed for that. Like you said, you dont have a crystal ball, how could you have known?

I'm not sure what you do, but from your post it sounds like restaurant business? If so, I wouldn't even worry about it. I mean, I definitely get that you're pissed, but you have less than a month left there anyway. You're clearly not in the wrong here, they're just aholes. Just show up on your next scheduled day, go about your business for the next month and then say good riddance come May 20th. I may be biased here since I think the restaurant business should burn in hell as a whole (waitressed for 6 years, which was 6 years too long), so there's that. Are they persuing any kind of disciplinary action for you not being there... a write up, suspension, etc? If they are, I'd probably quit on the spot, but if you can't afford to do that/aren't as hot headed as me, just let it go and count the days until you're out of there.

I would be upset too. It should not be that hard to schedule people but for some managers it is... Hope it gets better for you!
