HEy ladies... I'm coming down to the wire.. My sister's two daughters are mixed. I know the general style I'd like their hair to be. (they are junior bridesmaids) I want them to have some kind of braided updo.. The problem is finding someone to braid their hair into the type of style we need... I know it's a long shot... But, does anyone know of a good place/person to have mixed hair braided??

    I'm not from the area but being AA , I can almost 99% direct you to craigslist! The best people who do these styles are not usually salons (who stare at that type of hair in frustraton and charge ridiculous prices) but most likely people who braid or do styles from home. Often they will send you pictures of their work too! Can you post a pic of the style?

    You can try the hairdresser I used when I was living in the area. Her name is Eleth 813-988-6314. I highly reccommend her. Just explain to her what you want and she'll work with you. Tell her Franchesca sent you.

    If you want the girls' hair all braided up I would suggest going to an African shop.
