Bachelorette Help PART 2

Hello again, Boston ladies!

It's been a few months since I posted about planning a bachelorette party in your city from Indiana knowing NOTHING about Boston having never visited :)

I got a couple great responses and I thank those of you who had suggestions!

I'm pretty sure we'll be starting the night with dinner and candlepin bowling at Sacco's Bowl Haven in Somerville.  That seems right up my bride's alley (seriously, no pun intended until I read it).  After dinner I'm planning on slipping away to pick up a couple dozen pre-ordered, personalized cupcakes from Kickass Cupcakes which doesn't seem far away at all.

That being said, I think it'd be fun to end the night in an atmosphere that's not quite as laid back as Sacco's.  In my research of Davis Square, laid-back and hipster seem to be the trend.  Is there a bar/club within a short driving or walking distance from Sacco's you would recommend?  I hesitate saying "club" because that's not entirely the vibe we're going for... just somewhere with more energy to wrap up the party.

TIA for your thoughts!!

  • Great plan! Check the calendar at Johnny D's.  It's just a few steps away and there's often live music playing pretty late.
  • Are you looking to dance or just go for really good drinks?  I live in that neighborhood and would be happy to give suggestions.

  • I'll second the question about dancing, good drinks, or both?  I absolutely LOVE Orleans in Davis Square for good drinks, fun/upbeat yet chill atmosphere. And generally a great place for hanging with friends and/or celebrating.  However, it's not a dance club.

I could make other suggestions, but will wait for more input!
