Wedding Flowers for the Bride??

Alright ladies, I was just wondering what your opinions were about the flowers for the bride...should they be white, colorful, a bit of both??

Any way the bride likes.  And it would be fine if the bride didn't carry flowers at all, too.

anything that fits your personality. I want to stick with all white roses and have my BM's flowers have the shades of pink in them.  But I have seen some absolutely GORGEOUS brides flowers with so many pops of color! It's completely up to you!

I think it's really just your preference. I had bright turquoise and orange gerber daisies because I wanted that pop of color. I have seen beautiful white bouquets, too, though.

I think anything goes but it is good to consider the brides features,, If she is a soft blonde then not too bright... On the other hand someone with deep dark eyes or hair can really pull off some color.   No rules though...

They can be whatever color you want! I want bright flowers, personally!

I think it's a matter of personal preference, and what the other design elements of your wedding are.  What style and color of bridesmaid dresses and flowers, and the overall look/style of your wedding, time of year and day, etc...

I think if you want an elegant, classic/traditional look, you can't hardly go wrong with all white/cream flowers.

If you are having a more modern/contemporary or offbeat wedding, then going with some bright vibrant colors, or something stylish and trendy would fit better.

Personally, I like both the elegant classic look for brides of all whites, creams, and/or soft pastels, or a little bit of color for contrast.  But not so much vibrant color/contrast as to overshadow the bride.

My dress is very simple white with only a small crystal applique on it so I feel like white flowers would just get lost in the background.  My colors are royal blue, silver, black and white.  After talking to my florist I am having only blue delphiniums in my bouquet and my BMs will have mostly white bouquets with pops of blue delphiniums.  I think it really is about personal preference, my bouquet isn't even the typical shape, just several stems grouped together!

It depends on your taste. I also think it depends on your dress. If you have a very detailed dress, you may want a simpler bouquet or something monochromatic. If your dress is more simple, you may want a more colorful or dramatic bouquet. But there are no rules and everyone has different taste. Just choose what you like and what is a reflection of your personality/style.
