If the wedding is on Sept 15 what should the RSVP By: date be? 
When should I put the invitations in the mail?

    Ours was Sept 16th and the RSVP date was August 5th b/c we had a plated dinner and had to have the headcount back to the caterer by 8/15/12--but could add more if we needed too later.

    We sent them out by July 4th :)

    Also, make sure to check with your caterer to see if they require a date from you for the final headcount.

    Check with your caterer for a date that your final headcount is due.  It's usually about 10 days before the wedding.  Then you back up about a week from there, but your RSVP date should never be more than a month before the wedding.

    Invitations are mailed 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

    My venue requires a final head count 2 weeks before the wedding.  So they would need this info by Sept 1st.
