Recruting Help

Okay.
I am really getting pretty ticked off about this ENTIRE wedding crap.

Here's what I want.
Two locations. One for the ceremony, one for the reception. Within budget. I don't care what they look like at this point. Relatively close together.
Maybe not too far from the airport if possible, but not necessary since most of our guests will drive.

Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.
P.S. We don't have a church, that's why we aren't doing it in a church.

ETA:
We are gonna stick with the barn and just tweak things a bit to make it work.

did none of your golf clubs work out for the reception? boo. sorry to hear it peach.
remind me of your guest list size?

The guest list is about 90.
    We're expecting about 70.

And, they all require $1000 down, just something that we don't have right now.

    that stinks!
have you looked at the german village society? they have a pretty vintagey ballroom that is only like $125/hour to rent during their closed hours (saturday evening, etc.). it has a prep kitchen and a cute stage where your guests could dance or your wp could sit. it says it holds 248 but i think that's for a cocktail party. for a sit down dinner, i think it would hold 100 comfortably. you could check it out?

<div>I think just about any place is going to expect a substantial amount as a down payment. I know not every venue would do this, but what if you asked them to hold the date/pencil you in and let you know if someone else becomes interested in your date?  That'll at least give you some time to save up a little bit for the down.  Just a suggestion.</div>

My friend just booked swim and racquet club for her reception. She said that the lady was really flexible in terms of her down payment. You can bring your own caterer and it is a really nice venue inside.

Or the park of roses is very nice. I'm not sure how much it is, but you could rent either the outdoor space or the indoor facility.
