ladies, what is the lay out for a ceremony? i would like to write my own vows but then what happens do we still do the repeate after me? can you give me a run down of what you did/are doing?

    Talk to your officiant. They will (hopefully) be able to accomodate whatever type of ceremony you would prefer to have. If you would like to write your own vows AND recite ones, let your officiant know. If you just want your own, you can do that too. 

    Your ceremony layout really depends on what you want in your ceremony. How long do you want it to be? Do you want any readings? Are you planning a unity candle or sand ceremony or tying a knot?

    Giving of the Bride
    Opening Remarks
    Reading #1 
    Declaration of Intent
    Homily
    Reading #2
    Exchange of Vows
    Rings
    Candle Lighting
    Blessing & Closing Remarks
    The Lord's Prayer
    Benediction
    Declaration of Marriage

    Approximately 30 minutes from start to finish.

    Did you write your own vows? i just want to tell him why i love him and what i promise to do then also the in sickness and health part, do people do that?
