BM Gifts.

Alright...could def use some ideas for BM gifts. I dont want to get them all the same things, because that is just too cliche and not personal enough. So, hopefully with these descriptions of what type of girls they are, you will be able to help.
PS...open to ordering from Etsy because I LOVE it.

MOH: She is my cousin. She has 2 kids...an 8 yr old boy & a 6 month of baby boy. She is in the Army full time. Right now, she works an Army office type job. She is constantly driving the 5 hour drive from where she lives to where I live (most of her family lives where I live). She loves wine.
BM1 (My bff): She wine. She loves keychains. She likes make up and hair stuff. She loves tote bags. She loves going to the beach in the summer.
BM2: She is a teacher to all first grade boys. She is super stylish, always in the cutest clothes & accessories. She is my shopping buddy because she always spots the cutest things I would never find alone.
BM3 (FSIL): She is the most dedicated mom I know. Her world revolves around her two little girls. She loves thrift shopping, DIY projects and crafting (shes extra helpful with all my DIY wedding projects).
BM4 (FSIL): This one is difficult!!! Well, she works as a server & a bartender. She always has the cutest earrings. She loves wearing hats. She is always the one dancing the entire night away when we all go out.

Any suggestions would be great.

What would you get them if you were not getting married, like for their birthday or Christmas? That's what you get them. You listed a bunch of stuff you know they are each into.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I guess the two BMs (my friends) are not that hard...but the others, I am clueless. I want them to be really surprised, nothing too cliche.

What if you got  her a gift certificate to Michael's (for craft stuff)? A spa gift certificate for some "me" time?

  • My little secret that I'm using is I'm stalking the Pinterest of those who are in my wedding party.  A couple of them are active users and constantly pin jewelry on Etsy that they'd like.  I have NO intentions of having them wear something I get them for the wedding and to make that clear to them I'll probably purposely get something that doesn't match their dress...ha. :)
  • I am getting them jewelry to wear for the wedding but thats not going to be my GIFT to them. lol. I love the pinterest idea!

  • For the MOH you could do a gas gift card. I know I love getting those and you said that she always is driving a lot. You could also give her an interesting book on tape to occupy the time. Maybe a bottle of her favorite wine.
BM1: Bottle of wine, gift card to her favorite make up store.
BM2: Since she is your shopping buddy, I would guess you know her favorite stores. Maybe a gift card to a store.
BM3: I like CallaLily's idea of a Michael's gift card or spa gift card.
BM4: I would look for some earrings for her. Maybe on Pintrest if she has anything on there. Otherwise, just go through a bunch of Etsy stores for some cool earrings or hats.

**As you can see, I love gift cards. I think that they can be great gifts if you know the person goes to that store all the time and it is something that they will use. And you can pair the gift card with some little items that you know they like (a keychain, hat, tote bag, wine.)

Thank you all for your ideas! I like the gift card ideas, especially the gas card for my MOH. I didnt even think how useful that would be. If I really cant find something special for them, I am going to do gift cards. I LOVE the idea of the audio book for my MOH since she is always driving. Thats such a great idea! She has a Nook as well, so maybe I can look into getting her some books for it. I have some things I found on Etsy that I like...but they are all small things. Like for my BM that likes key chains, I found one that I can personalize & I was thinking of having it say "thank you for being by my side" or something like that. But everything I found so far have been small trinket type things, so the idea of pairing them with a gift card is great. How much do you think is appropriate for a gift card? I am on a budget, but I want to make sure my girls (and the guys!) get treated well!
ETA: changed "gas cards" to "gift cards" :]

It might be best to just write sentiments like this a note/letter to the bridal party.

Get her a gift she'd use, not something engraved with sayings related to the wedding.

If I got a gas gift card as a BM gift I'd drop to my knees and thank them for not another stupid makeup bag or tank top.

Well maybe not all that but still, I'd be extremely greatful.

Imagine a BM present you can actually use in real life. Too bad the wedding industry doesn't make money off restaurant or store gift cards so it's never promoted to brides and BMs end up with a wine glass with a feather boa taped to it and puffy paint used to write their name. Eye roll. Sweet gift.
