Purple and Gray paired with burlap and naturals?

My fiance and I have been struggling to decide on wedding colors. I think we finally decided on purple and gray...but we are also very interested in using burlap/naturals for decorations. Would this combination work?

I think purple with burlap/neutrals would look okay, but I'm struggling to imagine grey.  Are you talking about a dark/charcoal grey?    Anything too light might look weird with the burlap.

Agreed.  Purple works well with grey.  Purple works well with burlap.  Grey and burlap may not work well together.  If your burlap and naturals are in brown tones (burlap usually is) then the brown may not work with your grey tones.  There is some burlap in grey tones.  This kind of burlap will be great with other grey tones.

<div>Dark charcoal-like gray =) I think we may end up doing just gray pants and vests for the guys and then the decorations will be more purple/burlap/naturals</div><div>

I love the colors in the second link!  It could definitely look really nice.  We didn't use purple, but we actually had gray (light and dark) with burlap, and it oddly looked good together.

I would choose purple and neutral or purple and gray. I wouldn't do both.

I am having my girls wear a light gray, guys in black and I have some blush pink and cream accents. However, I am having my reception in a nice barn and the centerpieces will be on a thin wood slab with mason jars wrapped in twine with the blush pink/cream flowers. While the gray and tan color (from the wood and twine) may not jive completely... they are not going to be next to each other. My only gray is on the girls. So I think you would be ok if you didn't over-do either of the neutrals together.
But, you could always get a couple of things in that color and put them up against each other to really see if they would work or not. :)
