Bridesmaid Order...am I being silly?

I have to put my bridesmaids in order for the wedding/ pair them with the groomsmen, and I really do not want to. I don't know how to decide, and I feel like by me deciding, it is saying the order I care for them in.
Does anyone else have this issue? What should I do?
I'm sure it won't cause any drama...I just want to avoid hard feelings...is this silly?
It doesn't help that I have 7 of them...

There shouldn't be hurt feelings. I've been the closest and the farthest... I don't take it personally. Usually it's MOH, then in some kind of height order, or like family first, then friends.

this is what I did. Just so happens my MoH is the shortest. So it starts with her & then up by height

I agree with PPs. MOH and BM closest and then in order by height.

i'm doing what the pp's said.
Our GM will be off a bit because the best man is the tallest...we will have the shortest guy in the middle and the medium hieght guy will be at the end.
if your BMs are all similar in height you could arrange alphabetically.

Mine wasn't very hard...I'm having my bff as my MOH next to me, then my sis, then my cousin and then Fi's sis. Fi is having his BM who is his dad then his 2 cousins and then his friend. It just seemed logical to do it that way.

We did by height. The ladies range from 5'1'' to 5'11'' so it would look pretty funny if we didn't.

I'm doing my MOH (sister), BM (Brother), then my best friend, and two close friends. The deciding factor between #4 and #5 is that #4's husband is one of the groomsmen, and we wanted to let them walk together.

I am in a similar situation! I can't really do it by height because my MOH is smack dab in the middle...plus that would be putting my little sister at the end, which I don't really want to do. I think I want to do MOH, Little Sis, hs friend short, hs friend tall, college friend I met first, college roommate. The height will be (with out heels) 5'3, 5'8, 4'11. 5'7, 5'9, 5'6 and I'm 6'0. Does that seem like it'll be weird?

We are doing ours by height. MOH and Best Man are both short and one of the groomsmen is 6'7" so I paired him with the tallest bridesmaid... there is still a huge height diff. but it would have looked really silly if MOH was standing with him as she is only 5' 1". :-)

Mine kind of determined itself. MoH (sis) is next to me, then FI's sister. I only had two other BM's but as soon as one of them told me she was pregnant that determined where she'll stand. They're going to be staggered on some steps so the pregnant BM is on the bottom step so we can have a chair for her if she needs it. She has strict instructions to sit down if she feels she needs to. My wedding is one day, I'm not letting her risk her health or the baby (its a high risk pregnancy) just for some pictures.

We have two of the four GM figured out. BM, then FI knows who he wants next but the other two may just be figured out at the rehearsal.

Bridesmaids will walk in by themselves with GM up front with FI already. They'll walk out paired.

I'm not sure how I'm doing ours yet. Our party is uneven (4 BMs and 5 GMs) and I want to pair up a BM with her dad, who is a GM. Problem is, he's the tallest GM at 5'10" (though BM is taller than him at 6') and his daughter is my shortest BM at 4'9" so that kind of messes up doing it by height. I may do alphabetical. That would put her at the end with my BM that's 5'2" next to her, so she doesn't look so dramatically different from my MOH who is a full foot taller than her.

I think I'm going to have one of the GMs escort my "lady in waiting" in. My LIW is the 13 year old younger sister of my short BM. She'll ride in the car with me, then when I get out she'll adjust my train and cathedral veil. She won't stand at the front though.
