bridesmaid dresses

I am planning an April 2012 wedding. Is now the time to look for bridesmaid dresses? Will I just find left overs in the store and need to wait until after the first of year when new styles come out?? Help!!!!

    Talk budget first and decide about what look you want. Don't get them measured yet, body types change. Maybe wait until November/December to buy.

    Agree with pp. Talk budget first with your bm's. you can look now and figure out what you want, but you wont need to order them until closer to the date. I ordered mine in May sometime and my wedding is next week. some said that was early. I heard horror stories of purchasing dresses and they were made with different dye lots so I wanted to be safe.  I could have waited till June or beginning of July. Better safe than sorry in my view though.

    Be careful ordering them around Christmas and try to be conscious about that as of course people are tight with money around that time.
