Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

mossy oak wedding.

Me and my FH both want a mossy oak camo wedding. I want it to be classy not trashy. I have seen a few pictures of cameo wedding that looked nice but I have also seen some that looked horrid.
Any ideas to help me out . I found one picture I really liked of a wedding ceromony in camo. I want camo bm dresses and camo vests on the groomsmen. The picture I found they used orange mixed In and used sunflowers. My wedding is in june. Its outdoors. Would the orange look good? But then I was thinking maybe turquoise instead with dasies. I cant decide and I need to make up my mind soon

Re: mossy oak wedding.

  • I'm not really a fan of most prints on BM dresses and vests, especially camo. Would all of your BM really be comfortable wearing and spending money on something so taste specific?

    Why not make the dresses and vests a solid color and bring the camo in in smaller touches? You could use camo ribbon to wrap the bouquets, and maybe do camo pocket squares or something.

    Bunni, you have such good ideas! Consider a sash or shoes for yourself, too.
  • I think camo BM dresses are taking things too far. Ad PP have said subtle touches will go a long way without looking tacky.

  • I'd go with the colors involved in camo (greens, tans, browns, etc.) and completely skip the camo print.  There's no separating it from tacky in my book. Sorry.

    It's still possible to get a rustic and even country look in your choice of flowers, venue, centerpieces etc.

    Well I actually have seen just a few weddings with the camo BM dresses and vests but they didnt use the camo anywhere else. I have pictures I saved of them but idk how to add them on here. And my BMs are not paying for anything im buying it all. They actually all like the dresses I picked out they are super formal and made out of satin matetial. I already ordered the vests and dresses. So I do t need help with that. Im not using camo anywhere elese in my decor i would like to stick to the greens and browns in my decor and use the dark rustic orange and sunflowers In my decor as well. Just would like some ideas for decorating it rustic like. And trust me I understand how easily it can become tacky. If done properly they can actually turn out super pretty. Its vary rare though. This is why I realize ill have to be careful about how I do my decor and flowers. But I have the perfect ceromony spot that is going to help with the looks and help make it look more formal. I think the reason a lot of camo weddings look tacky is because they go overboard and they dont take time to plan they just throw it together and call it a wedding. And then they dont spend there money wisely. My wedding Is not going to be one of those camo wrddi g where they get married in a tree stand with dead animals everywhere lol. Im sticking to a elegant country rustic wedding with some camo. I have seen it done right and I have seen it done very wrong.

    So your BP will look something like this? Honestly; the dresses are a bit much for me but they're not popular in my area at all.

    <img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m4HPr6AuVGo/UE19wNyZ7KI/AAAAAAAAA4I/zAtlbua5WQ0/s640/camo.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="375" height="248" />

    The "Rustic Elegance" theme is very pretty but when I think Rustic Elegance, I think of blush and pastels so I think it kinda clashes with the attire.  Browse this site for ideas. Maybe you'll find something you like.

    Google Brown, Green, and Orange wedding and you get a bunch of pictures that are nice.
