Buckeye Wedding Ideas

Thinking of throwing some "Buckeye" into my day.  Not sure, friend of mine did buckeyes and then in additiona to the cake and real buckeyes on the table scattered. Just something small to show a little buckeye spirit? Any ideas?

What are your colors?  Is there a way you could incorporate buckeyes into your centerpieces?  Like if you're doing flower centerpieces have them in the vase instead of rocks?

I'm sure that'd only work with certain themes and colors though.

I don't think she was saying to scratch the idea of using candy buckeyes, but simply giving you some other ideas like you asked for.

I graduated from OSU and also wanted to incorporate OSU into our day.  However, FI graduated from a college out of state and although he is an OSU fan, we didn't want OSU stuff everywhere at our reception.  The idea of using real buckeyes instead of rocks in the centerpieces is amazing!  Something so subtle that OOT guest probably wouldn't even notice or think twice about, but Buckeye fans would totally get it!  So classy too without it feeling like you're at a tailgate.  Love it!

We made sure our DJ played Hang On Sloopy. :)  Our photographer got some great shots of people O-H-I-O-ing.  You could also play the fight song.

OK this one might be a bit too over the top, but as a hard core fan (same with FH) its an idea that we are considering.  If you have assigned tables, instead of using numbers - use football players/coaches/memorable football moments.

We were at a wedding (a few years ago in DC) where the head table was the "Woody Hayes" table.   The parents sat at the "2002 National Championship) table and the "Archie Griffin" table.

don't get me wrong... it wasn't done in a LOUD way. . .. there weren't football jerseys or 11x14 pictures as centerpieces on the tables.... just names with a small picture in placesetters.

Buckeye Bride-Cute Idea.  I thought about just doing peanut butter buckeyes and scattering some real buckeyes somewhere.  My friend did this with a book theme, since she is a teacher.  It was cute.
