Prayers!

Good but tough news.  Today I got off the waitlist at Boston University Law, But I had already put down a deposit at Boston College Law.  But BU offered me a $30,000 scholarship, though it remains to be seen how easy it is to maintain it.  I'm now having to face a difficult decision.  Both are very comparable in terms of opportunities and rankings.  BU has better California recruiting, where I am from.  However, FI and I have already put down a deposit for an apartment that would complicate getting to BU.  It's closer to BU, but there is no direct public transportation options so I'd probably have to lease a car for a year.  I need to make a decision by Thursday, and it's so hard!  I had mentally prepared myself for BC.  I'm stressed enough having to plan a wedding, but now I have to make a decision about a really important issue that could affect the rest of my life.

I'll keep you in my prayers for clarity and peace with whatever you decide to do!  It's such a big accomplishment to make it into BU Law, so MANY congrats to you!!! :-) The transportation thing might be a temporary thing to figure out, but hopefully you'll find your answer soon.

    Praying!

But that sounds like an amazing opportunity.. $30k scholarship is HUGE! It would be amazing to finish law school with little to no education debt. I'd say go ahead and lease the car because the cost of leasing a small gas efficient car will completely outweigh law school tuition which you're basically getting comped ;0)

I decided to take the scholarship.  It's significant, though law school tuition is so high, I'll still have lots to pay.  I talked to a BU Law student, and he helped resolve some concerns I had.  It's amazing how my life just changed in 24 hours!  I feel blessed by this opportunity.  Thanks for your prayers!
