My wedding is on 05/01 and we will be having the reception in a bar. I have ordered some 2oz shot glasses from discountmugs.com and they should be arriving in the next week or two. I plan to give them out as favors at my wedding but I am not sure what candy to fill them with.
I plan to put candy in the shot glasses, wrap it in a clear non colored cellophane and tie it off with a ribbon. I also hope to have something to tie onto the shot glasses like a label that says Thank you!
The writting onthe shot glasses will be in red and there will be a rose on the shot glass along with our names and the date of the wedding. What type of candy do you think I should fill them with??? my colors are burgundy and a cream version of white.
Thanks!!
Re: Candy Filled Shot Glasses... need help
m&ms will probably fit best, but the little jellie bellies are also good. Just put them in a favor box and call it good, IMO.
I know that doesn't help you, but I am just saying they are going to clutter or be thrown away. But, fill them with cheap candy. I don't think the color of it really matters. No one is going to say, OMG the M&M's are all colors, they do NOT match her wedding.
[QUOTE]I started collecting shot glasses when I was in college, I would get one from special places I went to. It soon ballooned into people getting me one from places THEY went. I now have over 50 that just sit and clutter a shelf. Maybe someday I will have a huge house with a built in bar where I can store them. I am tired of this collection. This has happened to me too!! I have wayyyy too many shot glasses now and don't have the space to display them all.
And even before I got over collecting shot glasses, I still wouldn't have wanted one engraved with other people's names and wedding date. Just saying.
