Bachelorette Party Ideas

I am getting married in October but my MOH (my sister) is graduating from highschool this May and going to college this fall. She is looking for ideas for my bachelorette party so she get started with planning.
The problem she and I (she asked me for ideas) are running into is age limit. She is 18 and my other BM's are 22, 17, and 17 (I am 22).
I was wondering if people could offer some ideas for my party. I told her that we could go to the Dells (we live in WI) and stay overnight and hang in the waterpark, but she wasn't to keen on that idea.
Help!

  • What about doing a spa day?

This sounds like a good idea for under 21ers.

  • That sounds fun. I'll have to give her that idea!

  • Spa day is fun for under 21s- what else are things your girls like to do?  Like, a waterpark sounds like a really fun idea to me, or a theme park, or fair.  We're all of age, and we're doing a Dave and Buster's party (video game arcade-y place that serves food and drink); they can do under-21s.  There's hiking or camping if you're into that, or go someplace you wouldn't usually for a big shopping trip.  Really anything you'd do as a girl's day/night out anyway.

You can also just get a big hotel room and a bunch of chick flicks and have a high-school-style slumber party where you don't have to clean up after yourselves.  Did something similar for a friend's B-party and it was a lot of fun.
  • We went to a murder mystery dinner.  My MOH and I got a lot of compliments from the other girls on that idea.  None of my girls are into drinking or partying.

  • Go out to a nice dinner, maybe a movie or theater if that's something you would enjoy. My sister is my MOH, and she will be the only underage girl at my party. She's started to plan, and my parents told her to basically think of things that would be fun no matter what with the group, then make it a little extra special. Do you go out for a girls pizza night sometimes? Then go to a really nice Italian place. Thinking along those lines will also help make sure everyone truly enjoys themselves!
  • I agree - a spa day is nice. If your budget allows, trips are fun - skiing, camping, Mexico (with a drinking age of 18). Maybe have an old school sleepover, go to a movie, come home get in jammies, order a pizza and watch movies, play truth or dare, etc.
"So what? So it's not going to be easy. It's gonna be hard.
Really hard. But I wanna do that because I want you
    - all of you, you and me, every day. Forever."

  • I was an art major and one idea we had was to all go to a paint your own pottery place.  Then each girl could paint a tile that would be put in a serving tray (breakfast in bed style) for the bride to take home.  It's under 21 appropriate and the bride has something fun and useful to take home to remember it by.

  • A spa day is a nice idea, so is going to a theme park, maybe a fancy dinner?

  • My cousin is under age so we are going to a restaurant that has a live band and dancing. We will eat dinner there enjoy the band and maybe some dancing then back to the hotel for a slumber party.

The best bachelorette party I ever went to was at the dells! There were 20 of us and we rented a house at Kalahari for the weekend, just $100 per person and it included 3 days of waterpark passes (worth $100 alone) and each person brought food and we ate in every night but had fun themed dinners, so much fun.
  • Pure Romance (sex toy) parties are a lot of fun if the host is entertaining. I use one gal here in michigan and its like I hired a comedian. plus you will keep with a little of the scandalous fun of bachelorette parties. it can also double as a way to give the bride a gift.

  • I know it's a little different, but for a friend's bachlorette we are going to a baseball game during the day and then having a slumber party at a hotel that night!

  • Karaoke and dinner. Or a theme park also sounded fun.
