Advice on Aruba, St Lucia, and Atlantis

Hi

We are confused on where we want to go, everyone is saying some pro's and con's for all of them.

We are debating Riu palace at Aruba, Sandals Grande St Lucia, and of course Atlantis Royal Towers or Atlantis the Reef in bahamas.

Any advice on these places? We are not laying out beach ppl we like to do water sports or sight seeing.

Any other places ppl suggest?

We are going the first week of April.

thank you soooo much!!!!

Re: Advice on Aruba, St Lucia, and Atlantis

  • It depends what you like the most and what you are looking for. Personally I would probably vote for Aruba. They will have the nicest beaches. Atlantis is SUPER SUPER SUPER fun and while it's definitely romantic, it's a huge family destination. If that's something that doesn't bother you then we love it - the water slides and all the activities are right there. Every water sport is there, you basically never have to leave the hotel.

Aruba is beautiful but I don't know anything about the hotel you are thinking of staying at. The water will be the nicest here. If you love to lay on the beach and do fun water sports this is great for snorkeling and the beaches are beautiful.

We thought St. Lucia was okay. It was fun to see the volcano and what not, but we didn't like the beaches there. Since it's a volcanic island the beaches aren't nearly as nice as a lot of other islands. If you like sight seeing this is probably the best place.

April this year we did a cruise that took us to a diff carib. island each day... it had relaxation on beaches, but also a ton of activities and sightseeing on the different islands. It was a little of everything and amazing.

  • The Riu Palace in Aruba is beautiful!!!
  • Sandals Grande St. Lucian was amazing.

Here's the link to our website if you'd like to check out our reviews (St. Lucia and Jamaica) and pics (all our trips).

We've also been to Sandals Negril which was lovely, Cancun Mx (Myan ruins are amazing) and Key West Fl which was an absolute blast. We've also taken a cruise which sucked. We are more the get up and go type of people then being stuck on a ship so we really did not like cruising and won't ever do it again (till we are older then maybe).
