Babysitting Services During Wedding?

Does anyone know of any babysitters who could watch a couple of out of town girls (5 and 7 y.o.) during wedding day--Sunday of Memorial Day weekend?   The kids will be staying in Short Hills and the wedding is in Bernardsville.

Call me crazy but I would not leave my kids with a stranger during a wedding.  Hire someone you know or let the parents find their own sitter.

    I agree with this completely!

The parents (distant relatives) are from out of town.  If I allow their kids at the wedding, then we may end up having other people wanting to bring kids.

I still stand by my statement.  Hire someone you trust or let the parents find someone.  Is it possible they can leave them at home with someone they trust?  I'm not trying to be rude but no parent in their right mind is going to leave their child with a stranger that was found on the internet.

Advertise at the local high schools? Or ask around see if your friends or parents friends have kids that are babysitting age.

Personally, I would not leave my kids with a stranger that I have never met before, especially a high school kid, while I am OOT.   You said these are distant relatives, do you  talk to them a lot and see them often?   If not, not so sure they would feel comfortable leaving their young kids with a complete stranger.

The other responses here are very thoughtless.
First off, there are licensed, vetted, bonded companies that will do this that you can interview or get references for, who are on equal par of trustworthiness with any day care
Second off, some couples HAVE no family or friends near them to do this for them.
Third off, some people are in our situation where many of the couples came from out of town so even if they did it would be for a whole weekend, which is asking a lot of some people to commit to.
Fourth off, believe me your kids are not going to be scarred for life by being in a rec room or hotel room for a couple of hours with a professional nanny. At that age anyone is a "stranger" in their mind, including your own parents (their grandparents).
