I think it's your wedding and you should wear the dress you love.  Go for it!  (I wish I had the figure for that dress!!!)

Well, I don't see anything wrong with it and by all means wear it if you love it. However, the fact that you're asking us makes me wonder if you're really that into it. I tried on 40ish dresses. I really really liked the third one I tried on. So much so that everything else got compared to it, but I kept looking. When I got to dress #40 I compared it to the other one for a few hours (pictures) and by the end of the day I was 120% sold on dress #40. I think you "know" when it's the right dress and no one can talk you out of it.

The fact that you're young has nothing to do with it! I love the dress but would want some more of a wow factor. Its a pretty sexy dress and if it is what you love by all means get it. It just has to "match" the vibe your going for. ie it wont work in a ballroom setting.
I also tried on a lot of dresses before coming across "the one". Take your time.

I love it, I bought my dress from Dillard's right off the rack. Only you can decide what's best for you!

That's amazing -- you'll be a knockout for sure! Just give your mom time to warm up to it and she'll be so happy just to see you happy!

I agree with everyone who says "you know". If traditional isn't you, you can't force it. My mom wanted me to wear a dress that made me look like a subservient concubine -- with a mandarin collar and all. Believe me, I thought about it. It looked great and was a gorgeous dress, but it did nothing for my happiness. I didn't feel my best in it, and I'm so glad I passed.
