I NEED TO VENT!!!!!!!!

Ladies,

I need a sounding board. Embassy Suites, KCI, was our choice of venue. I have called Shiline, the sales rep before and left a message for a call back. She didn't. Last Friday, I did manage to speak with her and when I told her my date (9-1-12), she shut down. For her it's too far to book our wedding.

My problem with her is, she is dismissing business. Were ready now! I asked her to email me info about her property.......never got it. All of the nice things I heard about her are falling on deaf ears.

I'm ready to complain to her boss or request to work with someone else. But then again why should I give them my money?

What you all think? Should I try one more time or kick them to the curb?

    If I were in this situation, and this venue was the one FI and I wanted, no exceptions, I think I would probably email her back asking for the contact info of her supervisor.  That would probably get her rear in gear.  That or I would just call and ask to speak with her supervisor and discuss the situation with them. 

    If the venue wasn't our dream venue I think I would probably make it known that the hotel had lost our business based on the conduct of one of their employees and we had decided to book another venue who was more coopertive to work with.

    The date is a little less than 2 years away, which is a while, however, I would think you could book an event venue this far out.  It seems strange she would be turning you away.

    I'd be really unhappy and look on. FYI- we ran into several places that would only book 12 months to the date out, different places have different policies but that is no excuse for her behavior.

    Thanks for the feedback ladies. We have a lot of OOT family attending and this hotel is close to the airport and renovated. Our wedding is going to be large and our mission is pay things off early. I will take what you both said to heart and make a decision.

    I am getting married there this saturday. I have worked with shilene and she's been great! Try calling again, tell her you are frusterated. I would just be honest with her. I know things have been a little crazy at the hotel (not that I am making excuses for them) because they have been remodeling. They are basically done now. Hope it works out!  Oh yeah, give your message to Ana if Shilene isn't there. Ana is pretty good about giving messages to Shilene. Tell her its urgent.

    Maybe try taking a deep breath, and give them one more shot. If it ends up not going well, I would definitely look elsewhere as well as letting her manager know how disappointed you are.

    Hopefully you'll get a good response this time, though, and all can be forgotten!
