Valley of Fire?

I'm thinking of having my wedding at the Valley of Fire state park in March, 2011. I was wondering if anyone has gotten married or been to a wedding there and can recommend any vendors?

I've been thinking about using La Bella Wedding Chapel or possibly Las Vegas Strip Weddings for the ceremony. Has anyone used or heard of either company?

I've got some time to plan, I'm just nervous about giving my money to a bad company. Any information you could give me would be truly appreciated since my fiance and I have both never been to Las Vegas before.

    When I first started planning, I really wanted Valley of Fire or Red Rock Canyon as I've been to both and they're beautiful. After talking to Scenic Las Vegas Weddings, I didn't think it was the best choice for our group. It's about a 40 minute drive out there and then the ceremony would be 15-20 minutes. During the ceremony, everyone has to stand...no charis.  After another 20 minutes of family pictures, we'd all get back on the bus and drive another 40 minutes back to dinner. If it was just me and the fiance, I would have done it as the pics I've seen are really pretty. I  just felt like the bus ride would take away from the event. Just my opinion though.     Thanks so much for your help. It will be just me and my fiance at the ceremony as our families can't afford to make the trip at that time of year. And we're planning on having a reception in closer to home when we return.

     I looked into Scenic Las Vegas Weddings too. The pictures are amazing, but I found some really terrible reviews from people that never received any of their photos and other legal issues with the photographer/owner.

    I just can't imagine risking the chance of losing all our wedding photos.

    We considered this too, but we're having around 30 people and not having chairs was a bit of an issue as well as the fact that we chose a July wedding due to everyone's schedules.

    When we looked at it we actually considered going through a wedding co-ordinator and having them help organize (including getting the park license required) rather than the companies that hosted them specifically. I just didn't get a good feel from any of them from their websites and was really concerned about some of the reviews. That way we could also chose each element separately.

    Hi there, I am getting married in September in the Valley of fire. I too was going to book with scenic until I read all of the bad reviews. So now we are  booked in with La Bella wedding chapel at the Hilton for our valley of Fire Jaunt!

    They seemed like the best option, and my god did I do my research ;-) I also liked the look of their pastor. Plus thier packages where miles better than everyone else's and I liked the fact that nearly everything was included, especially tips.

    They have a few videos up of their V of F weddings on youtube so you might want to take a look. I did see one vid on youtube of Adventure weddings  (I think) and you could tell they didn't have the necessary permit. the poor folks almost got married in the parking lot! (I contacted the state park to see who had the permits in place, they were really helpful).

    I will post reviews when I get back but you prob don't want to wait that long to book :-)

    Thanks so much for all of your help Laughing we've decided La Bella Wediing Chapel is the company we're going to use. They seem to be the most reliable around and they offer all the things we'd like to have for our wedding.

    Hi there!
    I'm a newbie here, this is officially my first post!
    My fiance and I are planning to get married at the valley of fire in february of 2011! And then also having a big reception when we get home. I was looking at Scenic and was planning on going with them, but after hearing about the poor reviews I think I may have to look elsewhere...

    We are planning a wedding at VOF in September 2011, and have been checking many company's.  I think we have decided on La Bella, any bad reviews out there?
