Venues- Falmouth

I am planning a wedding for the sumer of 2011. Does anyone have any reviews on  Bourne Farm or Woods Hole Country Club? I'm worried about weather at Bourne Farm and a bit hesitant about the amount of people that can fit at Woods Hole . . . anyone have any experience with either venue?Thank!

    I am actually getting married at Bourne Farm in September, I absolutely love it. I have been to a wedding there before and it is amazing. I have my fingers crossed about the weather!!  Last summer I was the MOH in a wedding at woods hole, she had about 130-140 guests, it was so beatiful! The two places have totally different feels. Are you a member at Woods Hole or have a sponsor? That is the only way you can have your reception there.

    Thanks for the reply! Woods Hole is my first choice, I do have a sponsor, we went to visit and I love the room. My fiance is worried about the room layout, having people in different parts of the room away from the dance floor. Also when you were a guest at a wedding there, do you remember if it was hard to see the dance floor? Did it feel crowded with that size of crowd? Thanks for your help and good luck on your planning, Bourne Farm is beautiful!! I grew up right down the road from there.

    It did not feel crowded at all! The dance floor was right up in the front by the service bar, and it was really easy to get to. She also had a huge band and everything fit fine! They blocked off the entrance to the left of the bar if your standing at the back of the room (does that make sense) LOL. When you meet with the manager he will give you a floor plan for that amount of people. That really helped my friend to visualize it. She did cocktail hour on the porches it was awesome! The only thing that was negative the bartenders where really slow. Other than that it was so beautiful! Let me know if you have any other questions! I grew up if Falmouth to!!

    Thanks so much for your help,that is great news! Maybe you can have an extra bartender to speed things up. Is there an option at Bourne Farm to escape bad weather? Are you having your ceremony there as well? I wonder if we know each other . . . I graduated in 02 did you go to Falmouth High?

    We are having everything there! I pray it doesn't rain but if it does then we will just do everything in the tent. It will change the whole feel of the wedding, but i love Bourne Farm  so much I was willing to risk it. I have also reserved extra tents just in case. I graduated in 99, I bet you know my sister!
