Picked up my dress!!!/Sheryl Kelm

So I picked up my dress from Columbia Bridal and it is beautiful!  There have been brief discussions about Columbia Bridal on the board and now I have a little more input.  When I bought my dress from there, I had a very nice sales lady and received good service.  However, I didn't receive the same service when picking up my dress.  They handed me my dress and pointed to a dressing room.  I assumed they would have had someone help me.  My dress has a corset and we didn't know how to tie it up.  My mother went to ask someone to help.  After freezing in the dressing room for about 15 minutes a girl walks in, without knocking.  When she opened the door there was a guy right outside of the door and I was half naked.  I didn't like that.  A few other thing happened which made me a little annoyed with them.  There was only two other customers in the store and five people working.  Overall, I am very happy with my dress and the price that I got it for.  However, I decided not to get my BM dresses, alterations, or the tux's from there.

So can some please send me Sheryl Kelms's contact info.  TIA!

    Hi--
Her email is kelmdesigner@comcast.net. I know she's booking up quickly but seems to be really working to fit all of us in!

So sorry about that experience! I just brought my dress home from Francesca's Bridal this past Saturday...and yes, there were a few hairy moments, starting with the phone call demanding payment before I could actually set an appointment to see and try on the dress! And then, when I got to see the dress, it wasn't right...but, I have to give them credit for fixing everything, and I tried it on, it was perfect, and they couldn't have been nicer...but like you, I chose not  to have them do my alterations, just because of the mistakes made and some of the bad references their seamstress got on the WW...Sheryl is doing my dress also...good luck :-)

Ugh, I'm sorry about your experience.  I'm glad you got your dress, but I'm also glad you got out of there and are not purchasing the BM dresses or renting tuxes from there.

    Thanks ladies.

I sent s. kelm an email.  Hopefully she can take me!!!  We actually just ordered the BM dresses yesterday!!!! We went to the new Alfred Angelo store in Glen Burnie.  Very nice sales people, I really liked it there.  They have been open for about four months now.  I posted the BM dresse on my Bio if you guys want to check it out.  Its a group picture and a single picture of the dress - the single person pic is the color we are doing!!!

You'll love Sheryl. I got my dress at Betsy Robinson's and used Sheryl for my alterations. She has my dress now to make into a christening gown for our baby, and I'm really excited to see what she does!
