Day of Coordinator

With our wedding being 17 months away... I was wondering when is the right time for me to start looking for a DOC and book one? I'm not sure if it's too soon to do that or not.. please let me know! TIA!

Book soon. The day of coordinator I was thinking about was already booked for the day I was thinking of doing my wedding on and I'm planning on a July 2011 wedding. Better early than just a week too late. Plus, some day of coordination includes an hour consulting or so.

I would wait a few months. Especially if you aren't really doing much big planning in the next few months. I think DOC mainly help you with the wedding day so there is no need to book on ethis far in advance. With this bad economy I would hate for you to put down a deposit this far out and have something happen to the business or in any case your financial situation. Just a precautious thought.

Thanks for the advice! I wasn't too sure since on my current knot checklist it said to hire a coordinator and I wanted to make sure I wasn't behind... even with 17 months away. :)

I think you should book now. My DOCs are awesome, Teasha and Shannon from perfectionisplanned.com. I highly recommend them! After I booked them I felt WAY better about everything because I had people who are looking out for me and will make my day perfect. They really are a weight off my shoulders. Best investment EVER!

I would book soon, not only do ensure you get your date but almost all DOCs have preferred vendor discounts, it would suck to book other stuff and find out later you could have saved $

I would book now, I wish I would have booked a lot sooner, especially for the discounts like someone else mentioned, I could have saved like $450, ugh, oh well, if I ever get married again I will know to book that first Laughing
