So, I am having a hard time choosing a photographer so I figured I would ask you wonderful ladies.

Who are you using, or did you use, and why did you choose them? What did it cost, and what did this rate include?

Also, if you want to share any love for your photographer, that is fine too.   :)

    Thomas and Penelope Campbell. 

    They are a husband and wife team that do amazing work. Thomas is a photojournalist as his day job, and that natural, photojournalistic style really carries through to his weddings (which is what he actually loves to shoot). I chose him because of his creative, natural photojournalistic style.

    His price is around $2500, and as part of that rate you get your rights to your pictures (so you don't have to pay a fee to have prints made). There is also not a time limit. A lot of photogs I met with said it was $2500 for 4 hours, and there would be fees if we went over. Tom's policy is that he wants to make sure your day is captured, from beginning to end, however long it takes. 

    There is a second shooter besides his wife included as well (so three total people). Penelope (his wife) edits the pictures and puts them up on a slide show immediately, so you can get an idea as to how your pictures will look. After the wedding, Tom goes back and makes sure they're perfect before you get the final product. 

    You also get a pretty nice album in that price as well, but FI and I didn't want one so he took that out of the price (although I think I may have changed my mind on that actually because my mom wants one).

    Kasey Marsh - Monkey Tree Photography

    Around $2300 for wedding day and I believe this includes a bridal or engagement session.  She was chosen to photograph the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Family in Kemah that aired last week and did an amazing job.

    She is doing my bridals but was already booked for my wedding.  She has done our family photos for a while now and does an amazing job.

    I am using Edward Charles and he is awesome, too!

    I paid $2300 for 8 hours of 2 photographers and I get the CD.  It also includes an engagement session!

    I used Montage Photographers. His packages start at $2500, but I think they have changed what is included since I used him. I used them because it wasn't your typical posing in the studio/park. It very photojournalistic!

    Clark Lara is amazing...I am using Love Lee Photography because she has done quite a few weddings at the Alden, but Clark has done several of my friends' weddings and maternity pictures and they've all turned out beautifully!  I would highly recommend him...check out his blog, as he posts quite a few pictures from all of his sessions.

    MD Turner Photography. They are a husband and wife team and the sweetest people ever. Our engagement photos turned out great - I can't wait to see the wedding photos. It was around $2,000 for our package.

    They really went above and beyond on the wedding day - helping with corsages, entertaining the ring bearer, fixing my bustle, etc. We loved them and felt totally comfortable around them.

    I used Akil Bennett - http://akilbennett.com/ - and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend him! I LOVE my pictures and he was great to work with! :)

    I initially used KD Loftis Photography, they did my e pics. Kelley is great, and she includes a lot in her packages. Her husband is her second photographer, so there's always 2 photographers in every package.my package was engagement, bridal and day of, 2 photographers, all day on the day of, dvd of all images with copywright after the wedding, and some prints, for about $1800. however, she had some health issues and had to back out of my wedding. she is taking new clients again starting in September(as in, she is booking now for after the summer is over).

    my photographer who will actually be with us on the day of is a friend of mine, Glenna Harding. she's a bit more expenisve, but the same style and she's a TOTAL sweetheart. I'm getting her for 9 hours on the day of, unlimited images, dvd of all images and copywright, for about $2300.

    ps, I'm also friends (well, e-friends) with Thomas Campbell. he and I post on an Aggie message board. he's really nice and he KNOWS. HIS. STUFF. I've had a hard time finding a more knowledgeable photographer. he's a great recommendation too.

    pps, Kasey Marsh is also a friend of mine, and would have been my first choice of photographer from the get-go, except she and FI clash personally. she's really sweet too and very good at photography.

    dang, I know a bunch of photographers.

    I used Costas Stergiou... he is into the photojournalistic look.... you can see the photos from my wedding here if you like!  I absolutely loved him!
