If any of you are from the Nj/metro area you may have heard of Zarephath Christian Church at Somerset Christian College, part of Pillar of Fire and broadcast site of Star 99.1
The congregation has outgrown the church building and now in the past year or so have even outgrown the gym, so we've been raising money for a new building, but I have a feeling some of that money will have to go toward flood repairs. The church/college campus sit under a slope by the D&R canal and were greatly affected by Irene, worse than Floyd 12 years ago.
The campus was completely under water and the entire first floor of most buildings were filled which includes people's homes, such as my young adult pastor with his wife and 3 kids (ages 4-years to 1-month).
It is such an abundantly loving and giving church so I hope you'll pray for their swift recovery! I pray that everyone & your family, friends, church, and everything you care about are ok
