Honeymoon

I'm doing some honeymoon research and now I am SO excited!!  We're looking at St. Martin.  We're doing a mini-moon to the Berkshires 2 weeks after the wedding and that part is already booked.  Our "real" honeymoon will happen in December over FI's winter break from school.  I wish I was sitting on the tropical beaches right now...all the hotels look so amazing!!!

    I've heard St. Martin is beautiful!  One of my friends went there, and she said that's the island to buy jewelry :).  Especially cool that you're going in the winter!  It's a nice break from the ice and snow!

    We have ours booked! We are going to St. Martin for 4 nights and then hopping a ferry to Anguilla for a week. We are staying at Le Petit Hotel in St. Martin... It is a little smaller and more quaint but beach front. We don't plan to spend too much time hanging in the room becasue St. Martin is our more active portion of the honeymoon. Where are you looking on the island?!

    Ooh, I was looking at Le Petit Hotel -- that's on my list of possibilites -- it looks so nice!  Are you going right after your wedding?

    I think I'd prefer to stay on the French side and venture more to the Dutch side for the nightlife and exploring.

    I love St. Martin! I have been there 3 times and it is beautiful! The beaches are spectacular! Definitely look into it! :)

    We are going about 4 days after the wedding. We live in Baltimore and I need to get back home and re-pack. I didn't want to do it all before the wedding.

    I agree with staying on the French side... I hear there are a lot of tasty places to eat! the island is so small that it won't be hard to venture around! Le petitie has a sister hotel that begins with an E.... Espe... something? Anyway that looked cute too but it wasn't on the beach!

    We just reserved Le Petit Hotel.  I am so excited!!  Their rates skyrocket on Dec 20, so I had to make sure we could do it the week before that and we can. 

    We were thinking about the sister hotel, but decided against it once we looked at TripAdvisor pictures and saw that it wasn't on the beach.  Le Petit just looks gorgeous! 

    After you go, please let me know how your trip was and if you have any recommendations!  I don't know if I'm going to be doing much research on it before your honeymoon as we'll still have awhile to go, but if I come across anything, I'll let you know.

    That is SO awesome that you are going! YAY! I will make sure to post on here and let you know how it is. We were in the same boat with wanting to be on the beach.

    (Sorry for the delay.... I haven't been able to get on the computer for almost a week!!!! One of the downsides to being a teacher! )
