Rehearsal luncheon invite

I had kind of a slow day at work so I was playing around on indesign and made these. They look big but they are 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 so they fit into a response envelope. I just ordered 20 response envelopes from cards and pockets. I had the stock here at work so the total price with shipping is goign to cost me $10 bucks.
Some of them aren't as "neat" as others but i figured the invite was kind of an extra. Since most people are family and know about the rehearsal or will also find out via email

Are you guys doing formal rehearsal dinner invites?

  • I wouldn't worry about not putting the names on them.   If you put a return address and communication is going out via email as well I think people will know who it is for.

My FILs and FI are in charge of the rehearsal dinner I have no idea what they want to do for invitations.

I like that you are doing a luncheon we are as well.  Lunch first and then the rehearsal.

actually we are still doing the rehearsal first but its at 1:00 because we can't use the church at night because there is another wedding(I am rehearsing on a friday)...

I was just too paranoid to have a"dinner" becuase i was afraid of getting sick or having a million things to do. We ahve the room from 2:00-5:00 and I figured we'd have toasts and stuff and probably won't eat until 2:45 or so anyway-- after cocktails etc..so its like an early dinner/late lunch
then we are all going to the hotel to check in together.

Also as a side note: I am picking out my invites...i wasn't sure what to do
my inlaws offered to host the rehearsal. then apparently they were complaining about the cost- and so their sister and brother in law offered to pay

when i contacted them regarding the rehearsal- they said they were no longer paying and that fi's aunt and uncle were.....

then i asked if we should put them as the hosts on invites- and they said absolutely not that my fiances aunt said if they were listed as the hosts they would rescind their offer.

I THINK that means that they wanted to have fiances parents host it and they were  "paying" but i dont think fiances parents got that. So now we have NO host and just a general donations.. its so weird....so i guess the invites was left to me..
no problem. Just one more thing on my to do list.

  • Our "rehearsal dinner" is kinda included in the package with our venue. The wedding party spends the weekend in the Manor house with DBB for Friday night and BB for Saturday night. Those OOT that come for Friday Night will also be included in this dinner.

We're not sending separate invited for this, but we probably will include it in our welcome letter. Still umming and ahhing about the welcome bag.

  • I was just debating this myself.. to do a formal invite or just send a quick email to the people involved.. we are only including the bridal party, parents, and the officiant (a friend)... so all could be easily contacted... I'm also worried my venue could pull our time to rehearse if they book a wedding on the Friday before our wedding.. then we will not have a rehearsal at all! eek! We would still do the dinner though.. so I'm not sure..

Yours are very cute, I love the "eat, drink, & be married"
