  I think it would be really nice to give them a gift. As far as I am concerened, if you ever feel the desire to give a gift, then you should go ahead and give it. I like the idea of a potted plant mentioned above. Maybe something easy to care for like an aloe plant or a cactus or bamboo rods. Something that will last a long time. Or maybe a have a really nice photo taken of all of you at the luncheon and give each a copy with a nice frame.

  I like the idea of a plant.  Bamboo is easy to take care of and stands for good luck.  The good luck is only when it is given as a gift.  Sounds like a fun time.

  I also like the idea of a potted plant, or something you know they would like or collect.  It is very sweet that they are throwing this pre-wedding party for you - I am jealous now!
