Tropical Acres for a reception???

Hey ladies, does anyone know about the restaurant Tropical Acres in Ft. Lauderdale? Someone told me about having my reception at this restaurant but I have not found any pictures online to give me an idea about the place.

    It has literally been over 10 years since I've been there, but I just remember it being a very simple atmosphere, def. an older place..a lot of older folks eating there too...it may have been renovated since I've been there, who knows.  But I remember the food and service being good. It's actually in Dania Beach, FL - close to Ft. Lauderdale.  Not sure if you saw the website, but I posted the link for you.

    They just renovated after having a fire that pretty much gutted the place. I dont know what it looks like now, but Im sure its lovely. It would certainly be a unique venue, and one thing is certain - they're one of the best places around for steak.

    There was a large fire at this restaurant in the last 1-2 years.  It should be renovated...might be worth a visit for you.

    Plus I think its the oldest resturant in broward county. Might be nice to have some history present from the local area.
