Unity Cross and Sand Ceremony

I have already purchased an engraved sand ceremony set, which we both love the idea of doing.  However, I just found out about the unity cross and like it even more.  Is it cheesy and/or over kill to do both during the ceremony?

    A wedding ceremony is already about unity, so yes, two additional unity ceremonies would be too much, IMO.

    I agree.  Extra "unity" ceremonies are redundant.

    I think one or the other is nice, but not both.

    I personally think you should do one or the other, but if you really want to do both, I would recommend you have them be on the shorter side, and do them one after the other, rather than having a whole song for each one, with an explanation between.
