  Is your really good friend a male or female? 
  
  The best duet I ever heard at a wedding was "Love Changes Everything" by Andrew Lloyd Webber (it's from his show "Aspects of Love").  It was done as a male/female duet.  Here's a YouTube to give you an idea (this performance is by several singers but the song is easily a solo or a duet).

  we are using "all I ask of you" from phantom of the opera. very beautiful male/female duet.

  The Prayer is very nice. I was at a wedding that used it and it was absolutely beautiful.
