Wednesday Work-OUT

It's Wednesday, half way through the work week. So I thought it'd be nice to take a little break from work/school/childcare/whatever you don't want to do, and have a little poll. Just for the fun of it!

Why did you choose the date you are getting married on?

Anything special(family or other-wise) going on at your Wedding?

Why you picked your MOH?

And the Rest of your BP?

Who is walking you down the isle, your Dad, Mom, Both, No One, Someone else?

As usual have fun!! If you don't feel like answering a question, we won't hunt you down I promise!!

Why did you choose the date you are getting married on?
We were flexible about our date, initally setting it as "sometime late summer or fall of 2011," so we would have our options when it came to venues.  As it turns out, we're having our reception (and probably ceremony as well) at the Iowa Memorial Union (at U of I), and they had August 13th available, which didn't fall on any Jewish holidays, or home football games--actually it's between when orientation ends and when all the students come back for the semester, so it's an ideal time to have it in Iowa City, and will be convenient for our friends who are students.

Anything special(family or other-wise) going on at your Wedding?
Hmm it's my future father-in-law's birthday too.  We asked him if it was okay to get married on his birthday and he said he "couldn't be more delighted" (luckily he really likes me!)  I'm planning to have the whole reception sing "Happy Birthday" for him.

    Why you picked your MOH?
Ugh I haven't officially asked her yet!  Need to get on that...  But she is my best friend, and my oldest friend (we've been buds since 2nd grade).

And the Rest of your BP?
Our bridal party will be my MOH and my two sisters on my side, and my FI's best friend, my future brother-in-law, and my FI's sister on FI's side.  One of my sisters is a girly-girl (probably the most out of the three of us), but then my other sister is the biggest tomboy you can imagine.  I'm excited about putting her in a dress and getting her hair and makeup done :)

Who is walking you down the aisle, your Dad, Mom, Both, No One, Someone else?
Not my dad, I don't have a very good relationship with him.  I'm still deciding between walking by myself or asking my mom to walk me.

Why did you choose the date you are getting married on?
Because someone had picked our venue for the day that we really wanted. So we picked the day before. It's also my grandma's birthday that day.  :)

Anything special(family or other-wise) going on at your Wedding?
We are doing Mad-libs as a tribute to my family. We always did them together.

    Why you picked your MOH?
She is my older sister and my best friend.

And the Rest of your BP?
A cousin who is very close to me and my fsil.

Who is walking you down the isle, your Dad, Mom, Both, No One, Someone else?
My mom, I couldn't be happier!

Why did you choose the date you are getting married on?

I have always wanted to get Married in September. So when FMIL saw the 9-10-11 she freaked, and it worked out for me :)

Anything special(family or other-wise) going on at your Wedding?

Not really, we're planning on having a PhotoBooth, but that's out it!

    Why you picked your MOH?

She' my Best friend as of 6th grade! So it was natural. I also have another MOH who is my other best friend from 9th grade. They are both awesome!!

And the Rest of your BP?

I have 1 other BM, my Little sister(one of them) and best friend, yes I know it's bad to only have 1, but the other one and myself don't get along at all.

Who is walking you down the isle, your Dad, Mom, Both, No One, Someone else?

My Dad, I was going to have my Mom and Dad do it, but my Mom had been kinda flaky for the last 5 or so years so that's a big no!

Why did you choose the date you are getting married on?
Our first date was on a 6 and my parents were married on a 6 (married 51 years!) so we thought getting married on a 6 was fitting.  Plus, we wanted a summer wedding and this weekend worked out well.
And my three older brothers got married in August, so it's kind of a family tradition!

Anything special(family or other-wise) going on at your Wedding?
    Not that I no of!

    Why you picked your MOH?
She is my older sister and my best friend.  I couldn't imagine it being anyone else!

And the Rest of your BP?
They are my very best friends from college. My future sil and another good friend will be my personal attendants.  My brothers and their wives are playing roles in the ceremony itself, but are not part of my immediate family.

Who is walking you down the isle, your Dad, Mom, Both, No One, Someone else?

My dad and I cannot wait for that moment!  :)

Why did you choose the date you are getting married on?
That was the one day we could get all our venues, and it just kind of turned out to be on that day.  Nothing special about it really

Anything special(family or other-wise) going on at your Wedding?
We are having a memorial wreath around our sand ceremony vases for my grandparents, my grandmother (who passed away in 2008) always made a chex mix at the holidays and that is what we are doing for our favors.  Special to me would be my mom and dad not killing each other that day and no drama!

    Why you picked your MOH?
She got FI and I through some rocky times when we first started dating.  She is my only friend who I can say anything around and not care.  I dont know what I would do without her!

And the Rest of your BP?
    only having my MOH

Who is walking you down the isle, your Dad, Mom, Both, No One, Someone else?
No idea--- long story really and still up in the air.  May end up doing it myself if I can't decide.  Just recently started talking to my dad after 12 years of no talking, was raised by my mom and am very close with her but I dont want to make anyone mad or step on toes.  I hope it all becomes clear to me at some point next year.  Not sure if this is a good plan but it's all I got...

Why did you choose the date you are getting married on?
It change a lot. It went from April 2012, to November 2011 and finally July 2, 2011. The real reason was to accommodate his family and our friends for them to be able to attend the wedding.

Anything special(family or other-wise) going on at your Wedding?
We will be honoring my son (deceased three months ago) through one of the wedding colors (green), one song (his  composition) and a locker with his photo attached to my bouquet.

    Why you picked your MOH?
She is one great friend, my sister in Christ, the leader of my Singles Life Group and  I could not have choose anyone better!

And the Rest of your BP?
They are our best friends, very supportive of our relationship and some are part of our family as well like two of my sons, my grandson, my daughter in law, his daughter and two brothers.

Who is walking you down the isle, your Dad, Mom, Both, No One, Someone else?
I am not thinking of anyone walking me down the aisle because this is not my first wedding and I don't see a lot of sense in walking with someone when I am an independent woman that rouse my kids almost by my self (and God). But if my grandson comes, I will do this with him because I love him very much and he will be very proud of it!
