Riviera Maya brides?

Any Riviera Maya brides have great experiences or recommendations? We prefer all-inclusive if possible, but not set on anything yet.

Thanks!

Re: Riviera Maya brides?

  • Hey!

We are leaving 6/9 for our wedding in Riviera Maya. We are staying at El Dorado Royale. I went there a few years back and loved it, so I knew this was the place I wanted to get married. I will be more than happy to let you know how it all goes! Good luck :)

I'm probably going to be a RM bride Laughing

We leave for Cancun on Friday for a little vacay and checking out hotels.

Hey Kathrat, we are checking out EDR on the 11th maybe I'll see you there!
  • Awww fun!!! I definitely recommend the martini lounge in the lobby for sure!! It's a great resort and I love the fact you don't have to leave to have a nightlife :)
  • I'm getting married at Secrets Capri and honeymooning at EDR! :) Check out my bio for more info!

  • Those places look beautiful! Only thing about some of those places is that they are adults only and I know for sure my nieces will be there. I would prefer it not to be a lot of kids running around, but if they allow them, that would definitely be easier for planning.
  • We are getting married at the Grand Riviera Princess in the Mayan.  We chose it because it is an all inclusive, child-friendly, budget was right on, it is a newer resort with lots of different a la carte restaurants to choose from, and different options for the ceremony and reception.  There is some information in my bio.  The Mayan has so many resorts to choose from, I'd suggest working with a travel agent who specializes in destination weddings, and they can really listen to what you want and your budget and narrow it down for you.  Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!  :)

  • We got married at the Azul Beach - same company as El Dorado Royale, but kid friendly.  AB is pretty small (98 rooms), which we loved, but lots of kids, which was fine (we honeymoon'ed at EDR - need that part to be adults only).  They also have the Azul Sentatori, which is much bigger, also kid friendly.
  • I am a RM bride and we were married at El Dorado Royale and it truly was a dream come through . Our experience was perfect and the entire wedding party is still raving about the food, rooms, service. We had a couple other options in the area and we hit it head on with El Dorado Royale in every aspect. We used Nancy from www.myislandgetaways.com and she was very helpful with all our organizing and planning and she got us some sweet perks at the resort and frankly could have not pulled anything off without her. We did the symbolic wedding which made everything so much easier. Good luck!
