The time can really vary. I've seen it done in 30 minutes with 150 guests, but I've also seen it take over an hour. It really depends who you're having stand in the line (just you & FI, or bridal party too) and your pace.
"Judging a person does not define who they are. It defines who you are."
If it's just you and your soon-to-be husband, it'll probably take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Depends on lots of things... how much time your guests gush over you as they're leaving, foot traffic getting out of the ceremony, etc etc.
You guys will be the ones to move the guests along so keep it short and sweet, is my best advice.
It does depend on who all is included in the receiving line and how long you want to chat with each guest. A lot of times both sets of parents are included in the receiving line, so depending on how much everyone likes to chat....it could take a while.
We are doing one so we can skip doing table rounds. We'll have about 120 guests and just FI and I are doing it to keep it short. I'm going to tell my MOH to cut the line off after 15 minutes if we still haven't greeted everyone. If this happens, I'll make sure to greet the people we missed during the reception.
I would designate a certain amount of time, probably 30 minutes in your case, and then tell guests that you have to start taking photographs and you'll just see them at the reception. No one will be offended.

We are only doing one so that we can hopefully skip walking around to every table at the reception, but I have never seen one done before!
I think I am going to keep it to my and the new hubby this way it can move along quickly!
