Just Engaged and Proposals

Stressed Bride/Calm Bride

My fiancee and I got engaged in Christmas after being together for 3 years. I feel like I am the overly organized bride and my rommate is getting married in June and is doing nearly everything last minute. I am trying to help my friend but she is stressing about nearly every detail. For her wedding I am doing her makeup and am trying to find a skincare and stress management regimen for her because I want for her wedding to be a joyful occasion. Any thoughts or ideas on what to do? I already have a consultation set up with a skin care specialist... Is there anything that I am missing?

Re: Stressed Bride/Calm Bride

  • A far as the stress relief goes, maybe y'all could go out for massages? This is all very thoughtful of you, and you sound like a very good friend
  • I totally need to go for a massage, as I am in the stressed out bride category.  We are getting married 11/23/13 and have the venue and the officiant, but everything else I try to do I run into road blocks with the vendors I wanted :(
  • I am getting married in August of 2014 and we have yet to get a venue... Him and I decided on that day because it is still nice weather where we live and we want an outdoor wedding. We already have the caterer (his parents own a company and offered to do it for us as a gift as well as the cake), we need a venue that has that date open that can accommodate a larger wedding... As far as the officiant goes we have two options because a friend of mine is a minister and a friend of his family is also a minister so we technically have that. I amnot stressing because we have over a year to go and at this time there is just no point. Yet my friend who is getting married soon I can see where she is coming from and I am going to try my hardest to help her smooth things out so she can get some much needed time for herself as she is going to school, raising a daughter, working part time and planning her wedding to top it all off... The massages are an awesome idea and I thank Weezy56 for that idea and I am going to look into it Smile
