DIY

What DIY projects have you done or are planning to do?

I honestly haven't attempted anything yet.  I have been thinking about trying to do our invitations or programs, but I am scared!!  Also, some girls on my club board made some coloring books for the kids.  They look pretty idiot-proof, but I am sure I will find a way to mess them up.

I did programs, table numbers, escort cards, and centerpieces.

I also made the sign for the guestbook and a small display with my parents' and grandparents' wedding pics.

This was all really easy stuff, though, so I wouldn't be too impressed. ; )  The programs were easy, so if you're thinking about DIYing them, I'd at least give it a shot.  Mine were just a simple piece of paper folded in half lengthwise, but I stamped them on the front and added a few different things.  I've heard the Brides kits at Michael's are easy to use for invitations, but if you're hesitant on it, I wouldn't advise trying anything much more complicated than that yourself.  Just putting the pieces of our invites together was tedious because it had to be done 100+ times.

I'm DIYing pretty much everything - centerpieces, church decor (just started these today), invites, programs, escort cards...It's time consuming, but I think it's worth it. Then there will be a lot of personal touches to the whole day.

Just the invitations thus far. And I plan on making coloring books for the children.  I typed up a program, which was very simple to do, only thing I'm unsure of is if I want to spend the money on the paper or not lol

Programs, coloring books, centerpieces...  that's all I can think of at the moment. :)

I don't have a picture of our programs, but they were actually really cute, yet very easy to make!!   The 'cover' was a thicker piece of paper folded in half, with a thinner piece folded in half inside.  To hold it together, I punched two holes near the fold and tied a ribbon through it.   Kind of like this  (though these are not mine):
