I had my dream proposal on leap day at the happiest place on earth but it almost didn't happen.
My now fiance Kevyn had been planning the proposal for about a month and a week before our trip on Feburary 22 I was admitted to the hospital. On February 25 I had surgery for 3 different things including removing my appendix. At first my surgerons didn't want me to go but my mom, his mom and he talked to me surgeons while I was in recovery and explained what he had planned. They allowed me to go with a lot of restrictions though. I was finally discharged from the hospital on February 26.
February 29 came and we packed the car for our night trip to Disney World. We dropped my dog off at the kennel then headed to Port Orleans to check in. When we got to our room I napped for a little bit since I was still technically recovering. Around 8 p.m. we headed to the Magic Kingdom. He dissapeared with my brother and told my mom, friend and I that they would meet us at The Haunted Mansion (my all time favorite ride). After 30 mins we met back up and went on the ride. When we got off there was a photographer in front of the hurse. He said why don't we get a picture taken. The photographer took a couple picture and then Kevyn got down on his knee right there in front of The Haunted Mansion. Of course I said yes and everyone around us cheered.
Needless to say a horrible week of a hospital stay, surgery and recovery ended in an amazing way.
