Bridal Shower Invites

Where did you find your bridal shower invites? Did you DIY or have them printed? I'm really debating what I want to do. I'm having a hard time finding cute shower invites that I can print onto using my home printer and the only site I've really come across is weddingpaperdivas.com. The shower invites need to go in the mail in the next two weeks and I'm getting anxious. Help!! :P

You can get lots of DIY paper at Kinkos, Office Max, even Michaels.  Hallmark stores have cute choices, too.

My mom threw me one shower and she just printed them out at home with invites she got from Kinos.  My FMIL is throwing me a shower on Saturday as well and her invites were just fill in the blank ones she got from Target, but they were really pretty.

You don't have to spend a lot to get nice shower invites.

Like nyrek, I didn't plan my showers, so I didn't do the invites.  I know that for one shower, my MIL just made them herself - cute scrapbook-style invites, and for my other shower, my aunt had La Di Da custom make them.  Both were adorable, but MILs were definitely cheaper to do!

Shower invites don't have to be anything fancy at all, and there are plenty of cute templates you can buy at the store and then just print right onto if you're not super crafty (I know I'm not, lol!).

You shouldn't have to worry about your own shower invites though!  Tell the person/people who are planning it for you to make the call - it will take the worry off of you! :)

I printed the invitations for my sister's shower using my home printer and stationery from Target (Gartner Studios).  It was on clearance and had a butterfly on the top but I didn't like it, so I used a slot paper punch and ribbon to cover it.  Here's a picture (with some info blurred out).

I've seen printable invitations/stationery at Target, Hobby Lobby, Party City, Hallmark, Meijer, Office Max, Office Depot, Michaels, and Kinkos.

My future sister in law planned mine. She put a picture of my fiance and me into Photoshop (or Windows Paint, whichever you have) and typed the info on top of it. Then, she sent them online to Riteaid as a picture file and had them printed for cheap (20 cents maybe). The lady noticed they were invites and gave her free envelopes.
