Tipping-ETA NEVERMIND!! Nothing to see here

So I know we technically aren't supposed to tip vendors if they are the owners of the company. 

Most of my vendors are the owners. My question is, did you tip them anyway if they were the owners?

Should I tip the cake person? We are having a former co-worker (friend) do the cake for us.

What about the florist, if the person doing it is the florist, not an assistant?
I guess I'm just confused.

Did you tip your seamstress?

Sorry, so many questions...I couldn't find a recent post about tipping, but if I missed one, please let me know.

ETA: I didn't look hard enough, I bookmarked a thread about tipping and I haven't read it yet...Nothing to see here! Go on about your day! Laughing

    I was horrible with tipping! Josh, myself and mom were very nicely tippsy by the time tipping came to be and dad was completely clueless. Im sure we forgot someone!

    Outside of hair and MUA, everyone else is the business owner... (our cake baker, photog, dj, florist, ceremony musicians) so I guess we won't be tipping anyone other than the hair/MUA.
    Oh, and I did ask the venue coordinator, and she said the 20% gratuity we pay goes straight to the servers and barstaff that are on that night, so no need to tip them either. phew!

    Emie-Thank you! That sounds similar to what I have going on. It's good to know that I don't have to tip if it's not necessary.
