AW: Wow I can't believe..

....its not butter
lol

No I can't believe that the wedding is this close.  Less than 150 days now!

Here is the run down of whats been going on:
WinkChange of plan for the guys instead of buying jackets/pants they are renting them..and FI's will be free!
navy jackets with kaki pants.

Tongue outGirls dresses changed from a coral color to desert blue (blue gray color)

UndecidedI have money and measurements for 2 of 7 BMs dresses and 1 of 6 GMs

CoolNEW THEME: Peacock!
I think of dark colors when I think peacock but I have found Bright summery colors for peacock.
New colors: Navy, Desert Blue, Bright Blue, Purple (more plum color), bright green, brown, silver--not really in that order either.
My favorite color is blue and FI's fav color is green.  It might seem like a lot but they all tie into one little feather.

--Peacock feathers are not $$$$ to order online ==cheap centerpieces

SurprisedI found the perfect bouquet for me, bridemaids, FI, GMs. cake topper
BM hair piece and it uses cheap flowers (thats a plus)

YellWe finally registared--this happend how I have no clue we almost killed each other in the process.  It was a long horrible day!  I did find the perfect fine everyday china for us its kinda awesome looks like pottery.-

-interesting side note: at Belk's something happend to the scanner and FI ended up registaring for 61 5-pc BBQ sets; 87 George Forman Grills; 79 accent couch pillows among other random odd number of things.

KissNow our STDs are being addressed and should be in the mail by Friday!

Tongue outThomas and I are busy working on our invites.
I have typed up the RSVP wording and he is going to lay the format out for the other inset cards.  I have $$$$ taste but we do not  have the $$$$ budget to match so we improvise.  The invites I want are going to cost over $1000 to buy them fully completed.  FI is a designer by trade so I'm putting him to use.

-He is going to design the insert cards and the invite itself.  We are going to buy the cardstock paper. He works with a printer in town and they are going to cut the cardstock paper used for insert cards to the right size for a reasonable charge (its insanly cheap).  Then he will set up the printer for each card size and we will print them out.  To get the pocket fold like I want we are going to fork up the money and buy the backing layer for our invite and the pocket fold along with the envelopes-inner and outter-- for it from mygatsby.com  This isn't expensive either since they are not printing anything for us just sending us blank paper.

-As for the RSVP envelope--we are searching for either cream/ivory colored envelopes.  If we can't find ones we like we will simply buy them from mygatsby to match the backing layer.  I think FI wants to have the printer in town print our return address on it since it can be troublesome he says.

-I"m happy I get my invites I want and FI is happy that it is going to cost less than 1/4 the orginal estimate when we INCLUE postage!!

wow that was alot..but thats my update.
I feel like I'm getting married and its for real now!!!

So how is everyone else's planning going?

-Ginger

Got my STDs done. Have my caterer, photog, venue, florist, baker, and planner. Now all I need is my dress, BM dresses, and a officiate. I'm waiting on my dress for now. I want to wait and lose a lil weight first. Right now I dread even looking.  Its still too early to work on invites but that and my card box will probably be my next DIY project.

Nice job on the invites!! I'm agonizing over them right now. I've met with two folks and have liked their ideas, but hope my meeting today will be it.  Like you, my tastes exceed my budget!!

Wow sounds like you got a bunch done!  I just finished putting together my invitations last night and they're sitting in their envelopes ready to go to the post office in a month.  And I get to see Olga tomorrow!
