  Good morning,            My fiancé and I are planning a December 31^st, 2013 wedding in Philadelphia and would love some feed back on venues. This is a tough decision for us because we want the venue to be beautiful but also have great food and enough food to fill our guests. Any ideas? Thanks!

  Hi! Yes I have but I know there are a lot of venues not online and I have looked at maybe 3 in person…probably the northeast or close to it…we looked at the Radisson on the boulevard and it did look very nice and there menu offered a lot I just don’t know how the food is…we are supposed to go this Saturday and check it out set up for an actual wedding..ballroom or catering hall…museums are going to be too expensive…budget is probably around 10-20,000…but the cheaper the better!..that’s why we are starting now so we can start saving and know what were putting our money towards..plus we still might get 2011 prices some places…our guest count is probably around 150-175..and yes the ceremony will be at the same place as the reception since our church will not do wedding ceremonies on NYE….Thanks for your input!

  did you mean 2012 < over a year away> or 2013 < over 2 years> if you meant 2012 i know its still  far in advance but venues get booked out fast for new years eve so you should probally start booking! and i dont know about if you'd be able to get 2011 prices for an event that wont be taking place for 2 years 2 months away.... maybe if you put a deposit down before the end of this year! if you do get it that would be awesome!

  $10-20K is a wide range (at 175 people, your looking at $57.15pp to $114.29) so I would try and figure out which is more likely so you can narrow down your search. Also, are alot of your guests coming from out of town and will you need a hotel block? Since its a holiday, you might want to factor that in to your choice of venue and choose a hotel or have transportation back and forth as I know some people don't like to drive home that night! (they are either drunk or worried about drunks on the road)
  I think NYE falls on a Tuesday that year so you might be able to get a great discount if they weren't planning to use their room for anything else (I know some places hold their own events that night).
  Good luck with the planning!!! I am not familar with the NE Philly area so I can't really recommend a particular place but if you plan on doing it in Montgomery Co or Delco- I could help better!

  I work in a hotel in center city. But I can only do weddings up to 120-130 at the most. If you need some help in planning I would be happy to help..

  if you were looking for notheast. we are having our wedding at the cottage green wich is down ashton rd, not far from the Blvd. GREAT prices
